I read a book to the students today as we were discussing problem and solution. The book was about a dog and an elephant, Bella and Tarra, that become best friends. It is a true story so I thought I would post a clip that shows the two of them. The students loved the story as it is a special friendship!
I also found this video that shares that Bella, the dog, has since passed away. They think she was attacked by coyotes. While very sad, the touching part is how Tarra carried her friend in her tusk back to the barn after finding her hurt. I couldn't help but shed a tear while watching it.
Unique, yet true, friends. The students loved the story!
